SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

 Your MC for the day will be John Stansfield as Reverend Priestley.

Beginning at 11:00 AM – (A Movie Presentation)

  • Summer Sojourn, The Chautauqua Story
  • Shown Continuously At the Lucretia Vaile Museum

11:00 AM – Opening Ceremonies 

  • (Village Green Gazebo)

11:30 AM – Portrayal of Honora Russell

  • At the Town Hall

12:30 AM – Portrayal of Lucretia Vaile

  • At the Town Hall

1:00 PM – 2:30 PM – Ice Cream Social

  • Tri-Lakes Friends of the Library Ice Cream Social with
  • entertainment by the Velcro Barbershop Quartet.
  • At the Town Hall Porch

2:30 PM – Portrayal of Reverend Priestley

  • At the Town Hall

4:00 PM – Closing Ceremonies

Summer Sojourn,  a movie about the history of the Chautauqua in Palmer Lake, will be showing continually in the Lucretia Vaile Museum adjacent to the Village Green.

Exhibitors on the Village Green will be present all day demonstrating quilting, vintage sewing machines, bobbin lace making, weaving, spinning, butter churning, pottery throwing, Vintage bicycles, leather crafts, and gold panning.  Also enjoy the Library book bike, kid crafts, and potential walking tours.

The Chautauqua Mountain Band will be performing throughout the day from the Village Green.

The Lucretia Vaile Museum will be open for business.  Stop in and live the history of the Palmer Divide.  If you have not visited the museum, you should go.  There is a lot to see in this quality small town museum  after all, “History Should Be More Than a Memory.

Smokey the Pig, Wood Pit BBQ  and  Dex’s Dogs

 

Sunscreen and bottled water suggested for all outdoor activities.

 The Lucretia Vaile Museum will be open from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

ALL EVENTS TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE: In case of inclement weather, events scheduled for the Village Green will move to the adjacent Palmer Lake Town Hall and Porch.
